In the beginning

A wise friend told me today...

This is so true!! As my business keeps growing it is important to me to NOT forget where I came from. As I am reaching the next steps in my business it becomes so humbling to know how much support I have in this process. When I decided in 2006 to actually start my photography business I never thought it would be where it is today. In 2009, it went from me doing a few weddings a year to doing kids, families, seniors, maternity and much more. So this BLOG is for all of you!! All of you that have believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. For all of you that have been my biggest chearleader and for those of you that wiped my tears when I thought I wanted to give up!!

This Blog is for all of those that were there in the beginning with your love and support! Thank you ALL!! I love each and ever one of you!! This blog is for all of you that were referred to me, without all of you I would be nothing!!

My name is Marie Walkowski. I have been a photographer since 2006. I received my education from UW-Eau Claire majoring in Graphic Design and Photography. I not only have the expertise for photography but a passion to help preserve great memories!! Since I was very young I have always had an obsession with photography. I got my first camera around the age of 12 and ever since then my family seemed to not recognize me unless I had a camera in my hand. I feel most rewarded when I am able to use my gifts from behind the camera.

Photography is not just a hobby to me, I take it very seriously. My favorite part of being a photographer is being able to share in your excitement. Capturing unique shots takes the effort of both the photographer and the client. Together we can create some great shots for your special event. Although some formal shots are needed, you will typically not see people lined up and posed as it not my style. Having some fun with your photos just seems like a little more fun to me! Seeing moments for what they are allows them to be captured and cherished. Your photos will tell the truth, show beauty, and for a moment freeze time.

I am where I am today because of my husband, family, friends and my clients. I am very honored and humbled every time someone contacts me for a session. I get teary eyed and sentimental when I talk about my clients. My focus is to make you happy and to help you creat great memories.
